I love this line.
"I want to target the pot market," Mr. Hagedorn (CEO) said in an interview. "There's no good reason we haven't."

Ah, maybe b/c it's been illegal?

I know here in AZ there will be a very good market for awhile. It may start small, but may grow (pun intended) exponentially. The medical cards they've been issuing allow for personal cultivation as long as you do not live within 25 miles of a dispensary, and it looks like it will be a very long time before a dispensary actually opens. We've even got our first home grow superstore ready to go and I'm sure the folks at Miracle Gro would like a piece of that business. Then they'd have everything up and going when (and if, unfortunately) the dispensaries actually start opening.

Note: AZ has already issued over 4000 cards

Methinks that MiracleGro has most likely had a hand in many a small plot o' pot over the years, whether he knows it or not!

Using Miracle Grow for growing pot is a very bad idea!

It may promote growth, but the end result will be very disapointing.

Use organic fertilizers (like bat guano) for spectacular flowering and a much more enjoyable product...

Ya gotta read the article - "To target marijuana growers, Scotts would likely buy niche dirt companies that already exist rather than create its own line of branded products."

Good time to buy stock in Black Gold organic fertilizer

Sounds like you're truly batshit against it.
